One of the most popular cities in the world is Las Vegas. People from everywhere come there to let loose and have a great time. Financing from many mobsters was how Vegas was originally built many years ago. Pretty much anything went in Vegas, where money talked, and that is how it acquired its nickname of sin city. There are still some larger than life stories that emerge on a consistent basis although since these original times there have been many changes made.

One of the most incredible Vegas stories of all time concerns a group of students from MIT University in Boston. These students came together in order to find a way to beat the house in Vegas and win money while playing blackjack. Through practice they were able to apply the incredible mathematic skills that they were already armed with to this card game. After much practice they unleashed teams of students on Vegas casinos to play blackjack.

All of these teams were very successful in their efforts. The teams would have players would signal to a big player when their table was ripe for the picking and a big player who would jump in to bet large on certain hands. A table was considered hot and ready for gambling when the dealer’s deck held an inordinate amount of face cards. To determine this, players would count the cards that were being dealt on each hand, before they became shuffled once again.

The players were able to win millions of dollars from casinos over a number of years by simply sticking to this technique. Since this time many casinos have incorporated technology to help deter this practice. If casino staff were to see someone counting cards they would be asked to leave even though this practice is not technically illegal. America's most sinful city is the only place that this story could happen and it is just one example of the many out there.
