Getting Started With Disc Golf

Make up to 6 figures with a list of 10 people!

Playing disc golf is one of the most fun ways to get outside on a nice day and enjoy the outdoors. Disc golf is an inexpensive and relaxing sport that can be played alone or in groups, and most cities have a number of courses to choose from.

As disc golf is played in a manner quite similar to regular golf, it is really very easy to grasp the basics of the game. A disc golf course is comprised of 18 "holes," and each hole has a certain "par" listed for it, based on its difficulty. Each hole is started by throwing one of your frisbees down the fairway, and each hole is finished by throwing a frisbee into the receptacle at the end. As in regular golf, you will mark how many over or under par you are on each hole, keeping track of this throughout the whole course.

When it comes to disc golf, one of the great things is that - even though you might not become a master of the sport for a while - you can become adequate at disc golf really quickly. Another great thing about disc golf is that the initial investment does not require a lot of money either - and it is usually free to play!

You might have gone to a park before where disc golf is played and seen someone with a huge bag that is overflowing with all different sorts of frisbees. There are plenty of different types of frisbees for plenty of different purposes, but there is no need for you to have more than just a few when you are starting out. The main things you will need - when you first get started - is a "driver," a mid-range frisbee, and a "putter." The driver is a frisbee that enables you to throw it a long distance all at once; a mid-range frisbee is intended to be used for "approach" shots, and the putter is a heavier frisbee that should be used when you are up-close, in order to finish off the hole.

With this simple, basic equipment and a water bottle in hand, you will be ready to get started playing disc golf; in no time at all, you will be a pretty decent player, enjoying your time outdoors.
